Hurricane Ian carved a path of destruction in southwestern Florida, leaving two million Floridians without power. While it’s now a tropical storm, the governors of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia have all preemptively declared emergencies in their states as Ian travels north.

Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia put their military forces on high alert and are closing their borders with Russia in response to Putin’s mobilization of 300,000 troops for the Ukraine war. Cars lined up for miles at the border crossing between Russia and Finland as thousands of Russian young men look to leave the country to avoid conscription.

And, a recent study in a major medical journal found that today’s high potency marijuana is linked to depression, anxiety, addiction, and more.
