US Rep. Jerry Nadler, a New York congressman who led both impeachments of former President Donald Trump, defeated Rep. Carolyn Maloney in a Democratic primary Tuesday night. In Florida, Rep. Charlie Crist won the Democratic nomination for governor and will face Gov. Ron DeSantis in the midterms.

A letter released by the National Archives on Tuesday alleges that more than 700 pages of classified material — including some of the nation’s most closely guarded secrets — were recovered from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in January. This material is in addition to the documents seized by the FBI this month.

And, the United States says it carried out airstrikes against Iranian-backed targets in eastern Syria in response to an Aug. 15 attack against American forces in the region.
