Pence to Announce 2024 Run, Debt Legislation Moves to Senate, and Oklahoma Abortion Law #shorts

The House of Representatives passed the debt ceiling legislation brokered between President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy last night. The legislation now heads to the Senate, where it is also likely to pass.

Axios reports Mike Pence is expected to announce his 2024 bid for the White House on June 7, paving the way for a direct challenge to former President Donald Trump. Former New Jersey gov. Chris Christie is also expected to announce plans to join the race next Tuesday.

And Oklahoma’s Supreme Court struck down two laws that require a woman to suffer a “medical emergency” before a doctor can perform an abortion to save her life. However, the procedure still remains illegal in most cases.
