FBI Contempt Hearings, Ukraine Power Plant, Virginia Plane Crash, and Pence to Announce Run #shorts

Russia and Ukraine are blaming each other for the destruction of a dam and power plant along the front lines in Ukraine. The incident caused flooding and threatened the security of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer scheduled a hearing Thursday to begin contempt of Congress charges against FBI Director Christopher Wray. GOP leaders demand the bureau turn over a document they believe implicates then-Vice President Biden in an alleged bribery scheme.

Federal investigators are in Virginia to inspect the wreckage of a private plane that flew over the nation’s capital and was briefly intercepted by fighter jets before crashing, killing everyone on board. The pilot appeared to be slumped over in the cockpit before the crash.

And Mike Pence filed paperwork to launch his 2024 presidential campaign, setting up a showdown between him and former president Donald Trump. Pence is expected to announce his run on Wednesday.
