Across the mountains of Iraqi Kurdistan, “We Are Peshmerga” is mounted like the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles. “Peshmerga” means “Those Who Face Death” to defend their families.

When we first moved to Kurdistan, we could see immediately the urgent need and open door to serve the Kurdish people by serving the Peshmerga. Julie serves with us in Kurdistan and is a strength to several communities, most notably as she helps medically train the Peshmerga to keep their men alive.

Also, she’s such a team player she did her homework to send us this video on her birthday. Happy birthday, Julie. We love you.
