‘It’s a Safe Vaccine’: Trump Encourages His Supporters to Get Vaccinated

Former President Trump, who is now fully vaccinated, recommended others to follow his lead during an interview on Fox News Primetime: “I would recommend it. “I would recommend it to a lot of people who don’t want to get it and a lot of those people voted for me frankly, but we have our freedoms and we have to live by that and I agree with that also, but it’s a great vaccine, it’s a safe vaccine and it’s something that works.”

More than one in four American adults has gotten at least one COVID-19 shot. Two states, Alaska and Mississippi, are now allowing anyone over the age of 16 to get vaccinated. President Biden says he hopes all American adults will be allowed to get one by May first.

Religious leaders from many faiths went public with their shots on Tuesday at Washington, D.C.’s National Cathedral in an effort to encourage the larger faith community to help end the pandemic as soon as possible.
