Elon Musk finalized his takeover of Twitter yesterday and immediately fired the company’s top executives. In a statement, Musk warned about the dangers of social media, polarizing extremes in society, and what he envisions for Twitter’s future.

The US economy grew at a 2.6% rate last quarter, better than expected. However, the economic outlook continues to be gloomy as recession fears persist in the run-up to the midterm elections.

The final polls before Israel’s election on Tuesday show Former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a slight advantage over Prime Minister Yair Lapid, though neither side may have enough seats to form a coalition government.

And a federal appeals court has ruled pro-life activists with the Center for Medical Progress must pay Planned Parenthood $2.5 million after a jury found they broke federal law by secretly recording the organization’s employees.
