The NTEB Bookstore Now Carrying Important New Book Outlining Why Rock Music In All Its Forms, Including Christian, Has No Place At All In The Church

When rock music is behind the pulpit of a Christian church, you are being led by the wrong spirit. Spencer Smith’s book ‘Calling Evil Good’ shows you why

Have you seen any of the videos on YouTube showing what, for all intents and purposes, looks to be a rock concert but upon closer inspection is actually a worship service in a Christian church? The Emergent Church is very big on this, going so far in some cases to sing secular rock and pop songs from the pulpit! Now, Missionary Spencer Smith, in his book ‘Calling Evil Good: The Lie Of ‘Christian’ Rock, takes on the subject of Christian rock music as he runs the topic through the perfect filter of your King James Bible.

“Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.” Ezekiel 28:13 (KJB)

Do you find it odd that the first created being that music is connected to is Lucifer? Or how about Cain, the world’s first murderer, being the one whose descendants would go on to create musical instruments, how strange that is to me. Well, not really. Before I was saved, I played keyboards in many a band out in clubs and bars, and can personally attest that the rock and roll lifestyle is desperate, dark and foreboding. Yet many Christians continue to listen to this type of music after getting saved, and no wonder, what passes for ‘worship music’ in our day is nothing but rock and roll that makes its appeal to your flesh.

Back in 2021, we wrote about the ‘exvangelicals’ who have renounced their faith in Jesus Christ, people like Kevin Max who is the Grammy Award-winning vocalist from Christian band DC Talk. What type of music you listen to on a daily basis tells a lot about the spiritual condition of your heart, and Christian rock music may feel good in the moment, but it’s chipping away at the time you spend in your King James Bible and personal prayer with the Lord.

We highly recommend you purchase this important book by Spencer Smith, it will be a blessing to you!
