Report: Saudi Arabia intercepted missile launched from Yemen towards Israel

Israel National News reports: “A missile fired by the Houthi rebels last week was shot down by Saudi Arabia, the Wall Street Journal reported.

According to the report, the US intercepted four missiles, and a fifth was intercepted by Saudi Arabia’s air defense systems, which operated to protect its own airspace – and was not necessarily intercepted in order to protect Israel.

The report added that five Iranian cruise missiles and 30 UAVs were fired during the Thursday launch.

According to a Pentagon spokesman, the missiles fired are long-range and can fly up to 2,000 kilometers, and were apparently intended for Israel…”
