“Around the World” Zoom Sessions
Dr. David M. Griffis, General Director of Church of God World Missions, and Dr. M. Thomas Propes, Assistant General Director, met for three days individually by Zoom, with the Five Field Directors for World Missions and their Regional Superintendents representing Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe and the Middle East. These Regions represent 6.4 million Church of God members and over 44,000 credentialed ministers in 183 countries of the world, as well as many underground churches in dangerous parts of the world.
The good news from the meeting included that many new churches are being planted, conversions are up to someone accepting Christ every 5 1/2 minutes, the Send the Light to the Cities Project has revolutionized the training of church planters with church plants dramatically increasing, and many unreached people groups are hearing the Gospel now even in closed and dangerous areas of the world.
Dr. David Griffis observed, “World Mission Field Directors, Andrew Binda in Asia, Angel Marcial in Latin America, Peter Thomas in Africa, Ishmael Charles in the Caribbean and Stephen Darnell in Europe and the Middle East, along with their Superintendents are to be commended for their outstanding spiritual and administrative leadership.
The Spirit of God is moving throughout the earth in an unprecedented way. Surely we are nearing our Lord’s Return.”
