Are You Pestering Our Father? :: By Camilla Smith

In recent weeks, the Father has been putting HEAVILY on my heart these questions: “What are you praying for? Are you praying for your will or MY Will to be done? And do you ever stop and ask just what IS My Will?”

The Father impressed on me how He DESIRES our desperation for HIS Kingdom—HIS Purpose and plan and Divine Will to come to fruition—NOW.

When I began to seek Him on this, I can tell you, the answers I felt from Him truly knocked me off balance and sent me reeling with exasperation and grief. Abba, are WE the cause for the delay?

ARE WE PRAYING FOR THE FATHER’S WILL?

WHAT IS THE FATHER’S WILL?

IS HE WAITING ON US TO ASK HIM TO BRING IT ABOUT?

Here is what HE wants:

1. His Kingdom Come.
2. His Will be done.
3. His Eternal Sovereignty and His Son’s Esteem.

That pretty much sums it up. Is THIS what we are praying for?

And is it just possible that the reason for the delay is WE AREN’T PRAYING FOR THE RIGHT THING? Here is the short list of prayer requests that we might see on a daily basis:

1. Insight/knowledge.
2. Physical healing.
3. Spiritual strength.
5. Salvation of lost family members.
6. Financial issues.
7. “Mental” health (i.e., spiritual health), including fear, anxiety and depression.
8. Daily necessities (work, food, bills).
9. The United States.
11. Political solutions and politicians.
12. Yes, pets.

Could it be that while these requests are good and righteous (well, some of them), the enemy has clouded our minds and caused us–even DECEIVED us into prioritizing THESE things instead of what the Father WANTS us to pray for—WHICH IS HIS KINGDOM. Isn’t that what Yahshua told us to pray? “Your Kingdom Come—Your Will be done”? Are we praying this?

And here is the KEY, before you get upset—WON’T THE FATHER’S KINGDOM COMING BRING THE PERFECT ANSWERS TO ALL THESE THINGS? YES, IT WILL.

Also—let’s take a quick look at what may be clouding our minds and causing us to not focus on the Kingdom:

1. Learning new “knowledge.”
2. Watching endless videos.
3. Fighting about doctrine.
4. Breaking “news.”
5. Absorbing drama.
6. Believing lies.
7. Learning useless genealogies.
8. Arguing about the shape (literal and spiritual) of the world.
9. Arguing about calendars, feasts, Hebrew words, etc.
10. Making prophetic predictions.
11. Having conferences about all of the above.
12. Making committees and having meetings.
13. Reading comments sections.

SO… let’s move on. Next subject:

What SHOULD we be praying for?

1. The Kingdom of YHWH to come.
2. Set-Apartness.
4. The Father’s Heart.
5. The Mind of Mashiach.
6. The Right-Ruling of Yahshua.
7. The Compassion of Yahshua.
8. The Judgment of Evil and its eternal demise.
9. Understanding the Father’s Will.
10. The Father’s Will to be fulfilled.

Let’s let this soak in, take it in prayer to Abba Father, and remember the Words He gave us in Scripture. HERE is what He wants us to be doing. HERE is His Instruction and His Will:

“I have put watchmen on your walls, O Yerushalayim, all the day and all the night, continually, who are not silent. You who remember YHWH, give yourselves no rest, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Yerushalayim a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 62:6-7).

In other words—POUND ON THE DOOR. Insist! Not only be persistent that He bring His Kingdom to fruition, be IN-Sistent! He WANTS us to be insistent! He wants us to pester Him, obviously. Think about the man who pounded on his friend’s door with GREAT IMPORTUNITY in Luke 11:5-12.

Are we doing this emphatically?

And let’s take a look at that part, “You who remember YHWH…”

“Remember” is the Hebrew word “Zakar” (where Zechariah got his name –ZakarYah– which means “Remembered of Yah,” by the way).

The Father’s Word is very adamant about our REMEMBERING Him—there is even a BOOK of Remembrance (Malachi 3:16) for those who speak to one another about Him and think upon His Name. Doesn’t “remembering” someone, especially the Almighty Most High YHWH, call for asking what THEY want and what is important to THEM? It surely does! He wants us to remember Him and His Will–coming to Him relentlessly in our desire for Him to bring the establishment of His Perfect Order and Truth through His Right Hand and Chief Commander of His Armies. What a thought! Only THEN will we live in His Dwelling Place—fully in HIS Esteem.

And “Give Him no rest.” Obviously, He wants us to pray unceasingly about this. Are we? He wants us to come to Him about bringing His Kingdom. We’re waiting on Him while He’s waiting on us! Brothers and sisters—if we are truly yearning with our whole hearts for the return of Messiah and the Marriage of the Lamb and the Government of Right Ruling of our KING to be established, we need to be PETITIONING for this constantly. And if we’re not, we need to pray earnestly that the Father show us exactly which kingdom/Kingdom it is that we are concerned about!

This next paragraph is of utmost importance:

Once again, I will address that many of us are simply unready to let go here because of our lost loved ones. It is IMPERATIVE that we understand that the Father BRINGING His Kingdom involves His sealing of His 144,000 servants to fulfill His Plan. We MUST FULLY TRUST that our Father WILL accomplish EVERY one of His Salvations in HIS Timing. This is critical—because otherwise, we are not able to fully surrender our will to HIS WILL in ASKING for the next step in His Plan to take place.

There is more to say about this. Abba willing, there will be a follow-up article to this. In the meantime—may we all be praying to the Father to search every piece of our hearts to see IF we are praying diligently, incessantly, and with great desperation for HIS Kingdom to come. There is nothing more important for us—there is nothing more important TO Him.
