Cheryl Ann Baker

Cheryl Ann Davis Baker, 66, of Brunswick, passed away December 24, 2023 in Brantley County.

Cheryl was born December 22, 1957, in Brunswick to Lloyd and Margaret McDowell Davis.  Living the life of a Pastor’s wife, she was a humanitarian, serving with her husband’s full time ministry for 42 years.  She served as a missionary in Guatemala, where she was the Director for Casa Shalom and worked with both the Lazarus Foundation and Serving Orphans Worldwide.  She loved her children and grandchildren and had a passion for taking care of others, especially the orphaned children.  Cheryl and her husband Pastor Richard Wesley Baker, Sr, were in their transition phase of moving from Douglas to Brunswick where he had just accepted the Lead Pastor position at New Life Sanctuary.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard Baker, children, Ricky Baker (Tiffany) of Waynesville, Ryan Baker (Mia) of Chattanooga, TN, Christopher Baker (Ashley) of Dallas, TX, Joshua Baker and Melanie Baker, both of Brunswick, brothers, Charlie Davis, Joey Davis, and Kenny Davis, all of Brunswick, grandchildren, Johnathan, Brayden, Kylie, Isaiah, Kaleigh , and Kingston Baker, Seneca and Everett Baker, Harper, Willow, and Brooks Baker, several nieces and nephews.
