“Torben and his family came to the US and applied for asylum in early 2019 because of religious persecution in Denmark, their home country.
On June 30, 2022, Torben was asked to attend an interview with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to “discuss his immigration status” in Orlando. He traveled to Florida from California to attend the interview, but shockingly, he was detained instead of being interviewed.
During the 412 days he spent in jail, he faced various unfounded accusations like weapons smuggling, human trafficking, tax fraud, and other outrageous claims. However, he was never charged with any of these offenses. Instead, he was labeled as a ‘national threat’.
God truly transformed his life during the 412 days Torben spent in jail. After a period of depression, God spoke to him, and many things began to change. He witnessed a revival, wrote two books, and experienced true freedom.”
