Trump News Conference, Ukrainian Control of Russian Town, and Ernesto Headed to Bermuda #shorts
Former President Donald Trump gave his second news conference in as many weeks on Thursday, as he adjusts to a newly energized Democratic ticket ahead of next week’s Democratic National Convention. At his New Jersey golf club, the Republican nominee talked about the economy and attacked Vice President Kamala Harris’ proposed policies.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his country’s troops have taken full control of Sudzha. It’s the largest Russian town to fall to Ukraine’s forces since the start of their cross-border incursion more than a week ago. Zelenskyy’s claim on Thursday couldn’t be independently verified.
And Hurricane Ernesto is charging toward Bermuda as officials prepare to open shelters and close government offices. Ernesto is expected to strengthen further before it passes near or over Bermuda on Saturday.
