Trump and Vance Officially Nominated, Judge Dismisses Case, and Latest Ceasefire Proposal #shorts
Former President Donald Trump and his new running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, were officially nominated for president and vice president Monday, the first day of the G.O.P. Convention in Milwaukee. The 39-year-old Vance is half Trump’s age and is a U.S. Marine veteran who is expected to take a working-class campaign into the key swing states of the Rust Belt.
A federal judge in Florida has dismissed the classified documents case against Former President Trump, ruling that Special Counsel Jack Smith was improperly appointed by the Justice Department. The ruling can be appealed, but likely won’t see a courtroom before November’s elections.
And the IDF announced that they struck more than 40 terror targets in a recent airstrike. The strikes come as Israel and Hamas are weighing the latest cease-fire proposal.
