Trump Arrives in Milwaukee, Biden’s Prime-Time Address, and Abbott Orders Investigation #shorts
Former President Donald Trump arrived in Milwaukee for the GOP National Convention, just two days after surviving an assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania rally. Trump attributed his survival to “God alone,” and expressed sorrow for a victim in the crowd, a former Pennsylvania fire chief who used his body to shield his family from gunfire.
In a prime-time address, President Joe Biden urged Americans to reject political violence and recommit themselves to resolving their differences peacefully. Biden said the upcoming presidential election will be a “time of testing” in the aftermath of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
And with around 270,000 homes and businesses still without power in the Houston area almost a week after Hurricane Beryl hit Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott says he’s demanding an investigation into the response of the utility that serves the Houston area.
