Consumer Inflation Drops, Largest Solar Flare in Decades, and Carter ‘Coming to an End’ #shorts
Consumer inflation eased last month for the first time in 2024, dropping from 3.5% to 3.4% year-over-year. Inflation has been unexpectedly high in the first three months of 2024, after having dropped steadily in the second half of 2023.
Yesterday the Sun emitted its largest solar flare in nearly two decades. This follows nearly a week of Northern Lights shows across the Northern Hemisphere. Flares and solar eruptions can impact radio communications, electric power grids, navigation signals, and pose risks to spacecraft and astronauts.
And former President Jimmy Carter’s eldest grandson said on Tuesday that his grandfather is “coming to an end” after more than a year in hospice care. At 99 years old, Carter is the oldest living former President.
